Me and three of my friends were planning on having a dinner at the BH last Saturday, 25 Sept. However having started in their Bar&Lounge we gave up on the idea! The service in the bar was quite poor for a place boasting such high standards. I ordered Margarita, which came in a Martini glass with a slice of orange (!) and no salt on the rim... My friend had Dark&Stormy which was served with no garnish in a ordinary half-pint glass. At £8 a cocktaill - rather disappointing experience and we willprobably stay loyal to the excellent barman at the Hotel du Vin and wont venture out to the Brew House again! My other friend had Scotch which came accompanied by a small jug of water and the last of the crew ordered a bottle of 'Old Speckled Hen' which came with a Peroni glass... When we finished our drinks and were about to order the bill, the barman spontaneously brought over a complementary bowl of nuts... too late to make up the damage I am afraid!
