This place is ‘alright’, I would say – no different to your standard ‘chain’ restaurant but good value for money and it looks good inside.

WARNING READ BEFORE VISITING!! Seriously if you want the cheapest defrosted microwave meal served by uninterested staff (except one waitress) then this is the place for you. All the food seems to be defrosted, mine was barely even warm in the centre. We sent back starters and the main pasta dishes were quite honestly vile, inedible and nauseating. Whats more the owner, who rudely never greeted or spoke in anyway but just flippantly took payment, seemed all too aware that we clearly were not content with the meal didnt even seem to care. Brilliant if you are dieting as it’s guaranteed to make you lose you appetite.

I’m sorry, but my experience of this place is somewhat different. We were served quite possibly the worst pizza I’ve ever had, with service that can only be described as ‘off-hand’. I hope things have (and will improve). The restaurant occupies a decent location in Tunbridge Wells town centre and always seems to be busy, so I can only assume that our experience wasn’t the norm. Or perhaps, that Mama Mia’s regular diners have never eaten decent pizza and pasta. There are much better ‘Italian’ restaurants in town. Go seek then out! (For pizza, try Firebelly’s). One thing I will say for Mama Mia, it is kid friendly.

Having eaten here before and really enjoyed it we decided to go for my husbands birthday on 9th June. What can I say the waitress never smiled and the food was decidedly awful. My husband had sea bass which was terrible it was full of bones all veg was frozen and just dumped on the plate we were very dissapointed and I felt bad as there are so many good places to eat in Tunbridge Wells.

hmmm, now if you have already consumed a bucket of cheap sweet wine and want some food before going over the road to join the daily AA get together at the opera house then this is for you.
I had the calamri ring that was like going down on a 58 year old spanish hooker( gave my jaw a work out I can tell you), all complemented with a sachet of tartare sauce (class).
The waiters are only interested in the groups of girls that frequent this place ..the limbo thing at then end of the night was what I imagine a Haven holiday eaterie to include as part of its “ambience”.
    Was better as Burger King

I think I must have eaten at a different restaurant or the chef was on holiday because my experience of Mamma Mia left me never wanting to return. My food was very poor and tasted like it had been microwaved, and the service was without a smile. In all honesty I could have done something ten times better at home without trying.

Fantastic Italian restaurant- we dropped in for diner last monday and had a great time. We ordered 4 cheeses pizza and pasta with seafod, both of them delicious. There was a live music and magician walking around every table ad showing some trics. We going back next monday again.
