Celebrated a friend’s 60th birthday there today(July 2011) and had a superb meal with excellent service and lovely ‘birthday celebration’ plate with petit fours and candle brought at no extra charge. A truly delightful experience. Can think of nowhere better in this area and also at manageable prices.

3 months post arrival in the UK and post many culinary disapointments, this was a true revelation. Atmosphere, service, food, everything was of outstanding quality. Can’t wait till the next visit!

I had the pleasure to eat at Thackeray’s very recently and had a fantastic meal, quite possibly the best lamb I have ever tasted. The ambience was great, the service excellent, discreet but attentive and the whole food experience superb. My wife works in the events industry and has had the fortune to eat in many excellent restaurants and she loved the food, and like myself wholeheartedly recommends the restaurant to anyone who loves fine dining and a great atmosphere topped with excellent service.
