However, a few critisisms; a starter of scallops, very nice but extremely stingy on the scallops - only 2, small specimens. Although a thorough briefing on the sourcing of the meat and vegetables there was a distinct lack of locally brewed beers and ales which would have added a lot to the drinks menu. I would definately eat there again but would avoid a scallop starter and stick to the lovely wine menu! The food is definately very tasty and generally good value for money . My husband and I went here for our wedding anniversary meal. The service, along with the food was impeccable from start to finish. We have eaten in many top quality restaurants including Gordan Ramseys, and I can honestly say that our experience at the Black Pig was easily on par. Wonderful service and beautiful food. This is a relaxed dining experience serving top quality food. Absolutey fantastic. My husband and I went here for our wedding anniversary meal. We went here for a quick meal. I had Pork Belly and my wife had fish and chips. Both were very good and it was a shame that we could not stay for longer on this particular.
