Went to Zizzi’s last night with the family and had good food and a good time. I’ve been there plenty of times before and it’s consistently good. Not outstanding – but it’s a chain and you can’t expect top end dining from such a place – but good enough for a nice night out. I had one of the specials – fettucini with fried spinach and ricotta balls – and it was lovely. My partner had the chicken in parma ham and, whilst the chicken seemed a little cheap (perhaps plumped up artificially) it was nice. Children had a giant “Rustica” pizza between them. I’ve had most things on the menu there over the years and it’s never disappointing. Service was really excellent last night (but it was a Monday) – but it can be a little stretched on a Friday and Saturday night, but nothing major. We’ll be going back regularly. One criticism: as with many restaurants, the dessert choices seem a little limited.
